Improvising Fatherhood Photo “Shop” contest: April 2010
A little while back I held a “photoshop” contest and provided a funny picture of Chandler for you guys to make even funnier. This contest was “wildly successful.” By “wildly successful” I mean only one non family member participated and the rest of the submissions were by my wife on behalf of her family.
One common response I got was, “I don’t know how to use Photoshop.” Let me stress that by “photoshop” I simply mean “messing around with a photo.” You don’t need to use the actual program Photoshop. I certainly don’t. I use Apple’s word processing program, Pages.
But in order to get more people into the game I am going to open up this photo contest to captions as well. So we’ll have two categories: a funniest caption category and a funniest photoshop contest.
Here is the photo we’ll be working with this time.

This picture hardly needs to be messed with in order for it to get a laugh. But let’s mess with it anyway. I’ll submit a candidate for both the caption contest and the photoshop contest, to get the juices flowing. I hope this inspires you.

CAPTION: Dad’s plan to pay for my college with Mt. Dew didn’t work and now I’m working my way through law school!
In order to enter the contest, simply email me an attachment with your photoshopped image and/or the caption to improvisingfatherhood(AT)gmail.com, or if you are a Tumblrer you can submit a photo reply.
You can download the full quality version of the photo HERE
The contest deadline will be next Monday, April 19th, 11:59pm. The winner from each category will win a free copy of Ian James Corlett’s book “E is for Ethics.” This book is a great book for parents who want a fun way to teach their kids good values, or anyone with poor ethics and a 5th grade reading level.

Alright! Let the games begin!
