Chandler made me a Valentine’s Card

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day and Mommy and I were both slackers. We agreed to lay low and not worry about gifts and cards. At first I thought this was a trap devised by my cunning wife. Turns out she was feeling as lazy as I was. But guess who wasn’t feeling lazy. Chandler!

Chandler really got into the spirit of Valentine’s Day and didn’t even succumb to the sirens of Hallmark and the ease of store bought cards. He really poured his heart into making this card for me. 

My wife helped him get started. (wait a minute…so that means she did do something for me for Valentine’s Day! She tricked me!) Chandler got his first experience with finger painting. The first question I asked when I heard about this was, “Did he put it in his mouth?” (That’s what she said) He puts everything in his mouth but surprisingly throughout this entire process he didn’t put his hands in his mouth once. 

Chandler really threw himself into his art.

And at times it seems like he was channeling the spirits of the great finger painters of the past.

Okay, in this picture it looks like he actually ripped someone’s heart out.

And in this picture it looks like he just swallowed that heart. Ah…his first solid food…

Uh oh…I think he’s hungry for more! Everybody run!
