I finally came up with the perfect nickname for Chandler

Having a good nickname is super important. All the really cool people have them. Sean Puffy Combs is P Diddy. Conan O’Brien is Coco. Jay Leno is “The Chin that wouldn’t quit.”

When we first decided on Chandler’s name I was pretty excited about it. My favorite Friend’s character! Maybe my most favorite TV character ever. Pretty cool right? I still think it is cool, but I started to worry a bit when I was trying to come up with cool ways to shorten his name. Chan? Cha? Ch…It just wasn’t working.

Then I began wracking my brain for good nicknames. The Chan Man? Chandelier? Chanda Bear? Nothing was coming to mind. Had I condemned my son to a life of mediocrity? Or was his full name strong enough to help him rise above his schoolmates?

And then the other day, as I saw Chandler in this awesome dinosaur outfit, it hit me. His nickname will be C-Rex. The dude is basically a little dinosaur. He makes crazy prehistoric sounds all the time. And much like his Tyrannosaurus brethren, he has weak little arms and almost no control of them.

So C-Rex, short for Chandlersaurus Rex, will henceforth and forevermore be my son’s nickname. What do you think? Click one of the buttons below and share your opinion.
