5 things I’ve learned in my first week of fatherhood.
Well Chandler has been in the world and I have been a father for a week now. I’ve of course learned a lot and I have enjoyed every minute of it. My wife has been amazing throughout this whole process. Also her mother, Brooke, has been an incredible help. We kind of have a barter system going where she takes care of Chandler in the wee hours of the night and we grant her unlimited hours of access to him. She has also been gracious enough to fix meals for us or even bring in delivery. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for her.
So what have I learned this week? Here are the Top 5 things I’ve learned in my first week of fatherhood.
5. My baby can pee like a ninja: I’ll finish changing him and think I did a flawless job, and then my wife will say, “He peed on you.” I look down and sure enough there’s pee all over my shirt. How did that get there? He’s got ninja pee!
4. Dads have it easy.
3. After having a baby your possibility for getting liquid damage on your iPhone increases tenfold.
2. You can buy all the baby seating apparatuses in the world, but there’s no real substitute for sitting in father’s lap.
1. If you’re in the middle of changing a diaper, and you hear a small release of air, take cover!
